I offer piano lessons for all ages, as well as beginner acoustic guitar lessons for ages 10+. Although I also sing and play drums, I'm not offering voice or drum lessons at this time.
Piano lessons: I recommend having access to a piano or keyboard for practice. I require each youth music student to have the necessary lesson and theory books that I teach from. These books are essential for progress and will be used in every lesson. After your first lesson, I will assess your level and provide a recommendation for the appropriate books, which can be found online. I'll provide more details at that time.
Acoustic Guitar lessons: I do require students to bring their own acoustic/classical guitar, as well as a folder of some sort to organize printed materials. I'd also recommend having a couple picks, a capo, and a tuner. If you don't have these items, I have extras available to borrow during lessons.
For adult students, please bring a folder of some sort. I will provide all other printed materials.
Not at all! I love teaching beginners, and I believe consistent practice and encouragement are the keys to success. I tailor each lesson to match the student's current skill, level, goals, and learning pace to create a positive and personalized learning experience.
I have experience teaching children as young as 3 years old, teens, and adults.
45-minute lessons allow time to balance skill-building with creativity and engagement. Students will explore technique, repertoire, and theory through games, hands-on learning, and creative activities such as colouring. This keeps lessons fun and helps students stay motivated while progressing at a steady pace.
Yes, you can enroll in lessons at any time during the year, including the summer months.
For youth music lessons, I offer flexible in-home studio lessons after school and on Sundays. For students wanting mobile lessons in their home, please reach out about your general location and we can go from there. Let me know a preferred day and time, and we'll find a suitable option together. I'm also happy to offer daytime lesson slots for homeschool students.
For adult music lessons, I'm typically available on Sundays and during the daytime on weekdays. If those don't work for you, I'm happy to discuss other options — I try to be as flexible as possible with scheduling.
Lessons are held in my private home studio, conveniently located in Milton, Ontario (Derry/Ontario). The exact address will be shared upon scheduling your first lesson.
Not at the moment - I currently offer private one-on-one lessons only.
For youth music lessons, I offer a package of $160 per month, which includes one 45-minute lesson each week. For younger students that may benefit more from a shorter lesson, I offer a package of $120 per month, which includes one 30-minute lesson each week.
For adult music lessons, I offer individual drop-in 30-minute sessions at a rate of $30 per lesson.
I accept cash (please bring the exact amount, as I won't have change available). I also accept e-transfers and will provide receipts for all transactions via email.
Details about my cancellation and rescheduling policy can be found on my Policies page.
